His point was when investing in real estate the goal should be buying quality real estate in a good location.  Obviously price is key, but it is secondary to that primary fundamental rule. I have already mentioned that when looking at coastal properties in Costa Rica the key is finding great oceanviews.   With that said I understand that many people are bottom feeding looking for the deals, but for a moment let’s go back to the real estate 101 and look at the best of the best in Costa Rica Beachfront, which is this community called VLP in Jaco Beach.  Titled beachfront is very limited in Costa Rica, but even more limited is luxury finishes and quality construction.  This community is built to U.S. luxury standards.   Every residence is direct oceanfront and every unit has incredible unobstructed oceanviews from one end of Jaco Beach to the other.  High speed wireless Internet, ocean front swimming pool, Jacuzzi, 100% back up power, and an air-conditioned fitness facility are among the amenities owners enjoy.

The developer of VLP has a proven record of developing premium properties with excellent finishes; open, spacious and practical floor plans; systems that are well designed and thoughtful (such as the chiller system, which enables guests to set the thermostat in their own room…yes, every bedroom has its own thermostat).

And the best news?  There currently are a couple units for sale that provide fantastic value.  Definitely wouldn’t use the word distressed, but would say it’s an opportunity to purchase the best in Costa Rica beachfront.
