Your New Home in Costa Rica

Earlier this week I wrote about the differences of titled and concession property in Costa Rica. The lack of titled beachfront in Costa Rica is one of the main reasons you don’t see more development on the beaches. Most of the developing you do see will be condos or hotels, and while a condo might be a perfect fit for some, others prefer the comforts and privacy of owning their own home...........
Developers recognize that many retirees are headed this way and may prefer a home to a condo. That is why you might see so many projects in Costa Rica that have been developed as planned communities. Developers subdivide land, put in the infrastructure and sell acre lots so people can build their perfect dream home. These communities usually are more elevated in the mountain so they can take advantage of offering and selling beautiful oceanviews. The downside to these communities is they are often far too large and lack finished constructed homes. Even if the infrastructure and project is completed you are often left with an empty feeling giving you anything but a community. But one of the biggest issues with these planned communities is their proximity to the beach. You might have some nice views, but to touch or feel the beach it often requires getting in the car and driving 10-20 minutes. For me there is nothing better than being able to WALK to the beach. Whether its catching a sunset, walking the dog, going for a run, being able to just walk to the beach is priceless. With these homes I am featuring today you have a true community, finished homes, option to build and don’t have to jump in the car to enjoy one of the best things of Costa Rica, THE BEACH!
